Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
In 1991, Mercedes-Benz continued its esteemed run of the W124 series with the iconic 300D—a robust, reliable luxury diesel sedan renowned for its engineering excellence. Power came from a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder diesel engine producing around 120 horsepower and 165 lb‑ft of torque, offering a comfortable yet fuel-efficient performance.
Built on the sturdy W124 platform (1986–1995 in North America), the 300D featured a multi-link rear suspension and independent front setup enhancing ride quality and handling. Standard in the 300D were a four‑speed automatic transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and power recirculating-ball steering. Even today, the W124 300D remains a symbol of timeless design and engineering, epitomizing the class and resilience of Mercedes-Benz’s diesel legacy.
This 1991 300D Turbo is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic over Saffron leather upholstery and rides on 17” AMG Monoblock wheels. The car is equipped with a sunroof, air conditioning, and cruise control, while modifications include an AMG-style front bumper, ATP wastegate, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Euro-specification headlights. Service under current ownership included work on the suspension and brakes, as well as the fuel and cooling systems. This W124 is offered with a clean CARFAX history report and now shows 211k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership.

Additional Information
From the seller: “This being my 5th W123/4, I immediately began to replace known W124 wear parts in order to ensure mechanical integrity and then used it as a 3-season grand tourer, putting on 12,000 miles in the last 2 years and taking it on several multi-state road trips. I wanted a W124 diesel that did not have such low mileage that I would be guilty about putting into regular use but was of solid structure and condition with a good history; this car fit the bill and has been a joy to own.”
