Ownership History

According to the records that accompany the car, this example was sold new by the Packard Motor Company of Delaware to a resident of Wilmington who owned the car until 1939 when it passed to Frank Ewing. After parking the car circa 1941, the car entered a period of prolonged storage and uninterrupted preservation which lasted nearly thirty years until approximately July 1970 when it was sold to Harold and Betty Bujwit of Lowell, Indiana. In 1984 it was sold to Jeff Peace of Lafayette, Indiana who entrusted the legendary Hill and Vaughn for a rebuild of the rear end. Purchased by its next long-term caretaker in 1989, Chad Hunt would embark on a body-off restoration and engine rebuild before retaining possession of the car through his passing in 2021. Today the car is offered benefitting from various work performed under current ownership by Parker’s Packard’s.
