Description
The 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is often considered a landmark model year in the car’s long and storied history. Introduced as part of the Type 1 series, the 1967 Beetle marked a transition between the classic early models and the more modern iterations that followed. It retained the iconic rounded shape and rear-mounted, air-cooled engine, but introduced several key updates that made it unique among Beetle enthusiasts.
Most notably, the 1967 Beetle featured a new 12-volt electrical system, replacing the older 6-volt setup, which improved reliability and allowed for brighter lighting and better starting. Other updates included a new steering wheel design, backup lights, and a revised decklid. The 1967 model is often praised for its balance of classic styling and practical upgrades, making it a favorite among collectors and restorers.
This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is finished in tan over a black vinyl interior with an optional sunroof and pop-out windows. Powered by a 1,776cc flat-four engine topped with 40mm Dellorto carburetors, this tastefully upgraded ‘67 has plenty of forward and stopping power with Karmann Ghia-sourced front disc brakes. After 12 years of ownership, it’s time for another enthusiast to enjoy!

Additional Notes
From the seller: “This beloved Bug was a gift from my mom who purchased it from the gentleman that restored it. I owned two Baja bugs as a teen and enjoyed everything about owning and driving them. This one is by far my favorite as it represents the legacy of the Beetle the best! Looks as I drive by and conversations at stop lights and parking lots have been a blast, but it’s time this car gets passed on to someone that has more time to enjoy it. You’ll love it as much as I have!”
