Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

First offered in 1966, Ford touted the Bronco as a vehicle that was ready to do “what you want to do … where you want to do it.” Available in several body styles, the new Bronco was out to prove that it was not only a capable off-road vehicle, but it provided the superior road-going characteristics necessary to navigate the country's improving highway system.

The most noticeable change for 1968 was the addition of side-marker lights on the front fenders and reflectors on the lower rear quarter panels. Minor revisions were made to the armrest, window crank knobs, and door handles, and free-running front hubs and a dry-type air cleaner were also new. Among the Bronco's standard features were three-speed fully synchronized transmission, a through-drive two-speed transfer case, Mono-Beam front suspension, 11x2-inch front drum brakes, folding windshield, heater, and defroster.

The owner of this 1968 Ford Bronco Pickup (Model U-140) spent the better part of two years building this truck into a more modern, safe, and reliable summer vehicle. Among the half-cab's many upgrades, it received Corbeau seats and a roll cage.

Ownership History

The owner of this 1968 Ford Bronco bought it two years ago and immediately went to work building it into a more modern, safe, and reliable vehicle. He says the truck has not seen rain or any adverse weather since its restoration, and he believes that the 73,186 miles showing on the Bronco’s five-digit odometer are original.
