IHT began when a group of agents met to discuss a frustrating problem. They could only sell policies for a handful of insurance companies. They were meeting with many prospective customers, but could only help 2 in 10 because their rates weren't good enough. Even worse, too many existing customers were leaving, even though they liked their agents and would have stayed if their rates were better. They asked: Shouldn't the hardest part of the business be to get in front of people? What if an agency could be set up so that customers could get competitive rates almost all of the time? What if agents could help customers in all situations - whether they had pristine properties or vacant homes. Perfect driving records, or some accidents and tickets. There had to be a better way. So, they created IHT. IHT is an insurance agency. We currently operate in 14 states (though we are always growing), with more than 50 insurance companies. Customers end up with the insurance company that fits them best, which keeps both the carriers and customers happy. Agents enjoy knowing that if they have a relationship with someone, they can usually offer competitive rates and grow their business. Everybody wins! We try hard to do what is right for our customers, agents, and insurance companies. With IHT, the insurance business is fun again because we can help more people than ever.
