Model overview
Model description
2010 marks the final year for the sixth generation of the Dodge Charger. Changes were minor for this year, and included additional side airbags and some trim changes.
The base trim continued to be the V-6 SE model. For 2010, a Rallye trim with a more powerful V-6 replaced the old SXT. The most commonly available V-8 Charger is the R/T. Its 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 makes 368 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. The R/T also provides a lower front spoiler, rear spoiler, and upgraded suspension and tires. The R/T also added unique visual cues, an automatic oil change alert, and power-adjustable pedals. An available performance package for the R/T raised output to 372 hp (torque remains the same).
The most powerful variant of the 2010 Charger is the SRT-8. It boasts a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8 cranking out 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The SRT-8 also features an upgraded suspension, dual-zone climate control, and remote start.
All V-8 2010 Dodge Chargers got a 5-speed automatic with a manual-mode tap-shift function. Power is put to the rear wheels across the lineup, and the Rallye and R/T were available with all-wheel drive.
