Model overview
Model description
Monstrous power, incredible handling, and the comfort and refinement of a modern four-door luxury car – that’s the Cadillac CTS-V. The second generation of the super sedan returned for 2010, again featuring the supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V-8 based on the LS9 V8 from the Corvette ZR1. In the CTS-V, the LSA makes 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque, sent to the rear wheels through either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
GM claims the CTS-V can hit 0-60 in just 3.9 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 191 mph. But the CTS-V is much more than a straight-line machine. It features an advanced MagneRide suspension, Brembo disc brakes with ventilated front discs, unique 19-inch wheels (9 inches wide in the front, 9.5 in the rear), and Michelin Pilot Sport performance tires.
The 2010 Cadillac CTS-V visually distinguishes itself from the rest of the lineup with a pronounced power dome hood, and a revised front clip, with chrome grille, and large lower air inlets.
Inside, the CTS-V is largely unchanged from other CTS interiors. It does, however, feature a combination of leather and Alcantara, a suede-like upholstery. This material covers the steering wheel and shift handle, as well as parts of the seat. An option worth looking for is the Recaro 14-way bucket seats, which are heated and ventilated…great for a hard day of driving on the track. The 2020 CTS-V carried a base price of around $60,000.
