Description

When the 240Z hit American dealerships in 1969, the small and affordable sports coupe took the motoring public by storm. Starting at the low price of $3,626, the new Datsun 240Z offered the experience of a quality sports car, with the looks to match, to a much larger audience. Despite costing a fraction of its European competition, the 240Z was equipped with a bevy of standard features, typically only seen on high-end cars. Fully independent suspension on all four corners, front disc brakes, and a high-revving 2.4-liter straight-six engine supplying 150 horsepower made the 240Z handle and perform as good as it looked. Replaced in 1973 by the 2.6-liter 260Z, original 240Z’s have entered collector car territory. They are now prized for their E-Type-inspired looks, formidable performance, and reliability.

Quality examples of Datsun's classic sports cars have become difficult to find as of late. Like many vehicles of this time period, many were either neglected and forgotten, or modified from their original form. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an example that is in stock configuration, retains its original equipment and period purchase paperwork, and has been recently refurbished for future enjoyment.
