Description

For twice the price of a base Focus, Ford Performance fans could get their hands on the most powerful production Focus ever built at the time of its release in 2015. The all-new Ford Focus RS was a blistering hatchback with 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque delivered from a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four – 40 horsepower and 30 lb-ft of torque more than the Mustang EcoBoost. Helping apply this power was an advanced all-wheel drive system with dynamic torque vectoring, which actively distributed the engine’s thrust to each wheel to maximize grip, or up to 70 percent of the RS’s power to the rear wheels in “Drift Mode.” This industry-first setting provided drivers of all skill levels with tire-screeching, tail-wagging fun at the press of a button. A large rear wing, black-finished 19-inch wheels, and a bold trapezoidal front grill ensured the exterior matched the RS’s thrilling performance.
