Description
As the C209/A209-generation CLK Class neared the end of production, the masters at AMG decided to crank up the performance of the already impressive CLK 55 AMG, replacing it in 2007 with the CLK 63 AMG. The AMG-tuned 6.2-liter V8 engine pumped out a monstrous 475 horsepower – 113 horsepower more than the outgoing CLK 55 AMG – and an intoxicating snarl from the dual exhaust. Like its predecessor, the CLK 63 AMG could be had as a Coupe or Cabriolet, with the latter offering the added benefit of a triple-layer soft top that could be lowered in 17 seconds with the press of a button. Inside, the CLK 63 AMG featured a heated, multi-contour driver’s seat with pneumatic side bolsters, soft Nappa leather upholstery, Burl Walnut trim, and paddles behind the steering wheel shifting the seven-speed automatic transmission. With a $92,575 base price when new, this well-kept CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet offers tremendous value and is ready to be enjoyed for its superb engine on many more open-air drives.
