Description
MotorTrend called the Wrangler “the ultimate hard-core off-road choice” in July 2008, and the 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon lived up to that reputation. Entering its second year of the JK generation — introduced in 2007 — the Rubicon modernized Jeep’s legendary off-roader while honoring its World War II roots and CJ/TJ heritage. The JK brought key upgrades: a stronger frame, wider track, and improved suspension for better stability and comfort.
The Rubicon trim, named after the famed Rubicon Trail, was the most capable Wrangler. It featured heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, electronic locking differentials, and an electronic sway bar disconnect for maximum articulation. Its Rock-Trac 4WD system included a 4:1 low-range transfer case, enabling exceptional crawling ability. Power came from a 3.8-liter V6 producing 202 hp and 237 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual (as seen here) or optional four-speed automatic. With 10.2 inches of ground clearance and approach/departure angles exceeding 40 degrees, the Rubicon was built for extreme terrain.
Showing just 33k miles, this 2008 Rubicon two-door was purchased new by the seller, and reportedly remains unmodified except for LED headlights (originals included).
this one-owner, low-mile Jeep is now offered with a clean CARFAX history report, its OEM headlights, unused LED fog lamps, an owner's manual, and a clean Texas title in the seller's name.
