Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 2004 Land Rover Discovery S represents the final chapter of the Discovery Series II era, a period that helped solidify Land Rover’s reputation for blending traditional off‑road capability with growing expectations for on‑road comfort. Introduced for the 1999 model year, the Series II refined the original Discovery’s formula with improved chassis rigidity, a longer wheelbase, and more sophisticated suspension technology. By 2004, the model had benefited from several running upgrades, culminating in one of the most polished versions of the platform.
The S trim served as the Discovery’s entry-level configuration in the U.S. market, offering Land Rover’s hallmark hardware—full‑time four‑wheel drive, a two‑speed transfer case, and a rugged ladder‑frame chassis—without the more luxurious interior appointments of the SE and HSE models. Power came from an updated 4.6‑liter V8 paired with a four‑speed automatic transmission, delivering improved refinement and better torque for towing and trail work. As Car and Driver reported, “The bottom line is that Discovery owners can now have the rough-and-tumble image with a little less of the old model's truckiness.”
Reportedly unmodified aside from an Alpine stereo head-unit, this example is finished in Adriatic Blue Metallic over Alpaca Beige upholstery and benefits from recent servicing as detailed below.
This 2004 Land Rover Discovery S is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a CARFAX history report, three master keys, owner's manuals, some service records, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner's name.
