Description
The fourth-generation Camaro Z28’s 1998 redesign introduced a more rounded and refined body compared to the angular 1993–97 versions. Beneath the hood, however, lurked a formidable upgrade: the all-aluminum LS1. This impressive 5.7-liter V8 retained the previous LT1 engine’s torque, along with enhanced top-end performance thanks to improved cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and a high-flow intake manifold.
And buyers who upgraded to the 1998–2002 Camaro SS received 325 horsepower, thanks to a functional forced-air induction hood and a high-flow exhaust system. The SS also benefited from a special high-performance suspension, 17” wheels wrapped in high-grip tires, and distinctive styling cues including a unique rear spoiler and SS badging. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, the Camaro SS delivered impressive performance: 0–60 mph in just 5.1 seconds, quarter-mile times in the mid-13s, and undeniable street cred.
With just 7k total miles from new, this two-owner 2002 Camaro SS is finished in silver, wears leather upholstery, and is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission enhanced with a Hurst shifter. Additionally, the car recently received extensive maintenance in preparation for the sale. This low-mile Camaro SS is now offered with an accident-free CARFAX history report, recent service records, and a clean Ohio title in the seller's name stating 7,146 "Actual" miles as of August 2025.
