The 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula was a high point of the fourth-generation F-bodies, designed for enthusiasts who wanted Trans Am performance without the extra styling elements.

The Formula featured an aerodynamic body with pop-up headlights, a sleek silhouette with a low-slung stance, and smooth, flowing lines. Its understated styling contrasted the flashier Trans Am, offering performance-focused design and more refined muscle car aesthetics that emphasized speed and stealth.

This V8-powered sleeper featured the powerful 5.7-liter LS1 engine, producing 305 horsepower, and gave buyers the option of a manual or automatic transmission. Combined with the FE2 sport suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a strong limited-slip differential, it was a solid performer in the straights and through the curves.

The Formula remains a favorite among purists for its balance of power, handling, and understated design. And this example features the LS1 V8 with an automatic transmission, T-tops, and aftermarket 18-inch wheels with performance tires.

• Driver seat has lost original shape and shows slight wear and a worn bolster 

• Driver side sun visor needs replaced 

• Driver and passenger side door panels show common cracking at top 

• Paint condition commensurate with a 26-year-old vehicle 

• A few minor paint chips and scratches
