Introduced to the U.S. market for 1997 as Jaguar’s replacement for the aging XJS, the XK8 combined classic Jaguar grand touring character with modern engineering and styling. 

The British sports car's sculpted body was inspired by the celebrated E-Type, while an all-new 4.0-liter DOHC V8 engine, rated at 290 horsepower, delivered smooth power through a five-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The XK8 was offered as both a coupe and a convertible, with the open-top model particularly emphasizing luxury touring and elegant design. 

The XK8 Convertible featured a power-operated fabric soft top that folded neatly beneath a body-colored cover, creating a clean profile when lowered. Standard amenities included leather upholstery, burl walnut veneer trim, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, four-wheel independent suspension, and traction control.  

This example is finished in Brooklands Green paint over a Cashmere leather interior. Additional features include automatic climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry, an AM/FM stereo with cassette player, power-adjustable memory seats, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. 

First registered in Florida, the car was acquired by the current owner in Michigan in 2024.
