The 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante — the convertible version of the DB7 — arrived at a critical moment for the British marque, embodying a confident rebirth after decades of low-volume uncertainty. Unveiled shortly after the DB7 coupé, the Volante transformed Ian Callum’s elegant design into a grand touring convertible without sacrificing poise or performance.

Built during Ford Motor Company’s stewardship, the DB7 blended traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering drawn from Aston Martin and Jaguar heritage. Under its long bonnet lay a supercharged 3.2‑liter straight‑six, and its electric soft top folded cleanly away, preserving the car’s flowing lines.

This 1997 DB7 Volante is finished in Onyx Black paint with a black power-operated soft top over tan and black interior. The 2+2 grand touring car’s front bucket seats wear tan Connolly leather upholstery with black piping. An optional four-speed automatic transmission directs power to the rear wheels.
