Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Produced as a promotional item for Ford dealerships, the 1994 Ford Mustang Bird Corp. Go-Kart was produced in limited numbers — 500 in total, according to multiple sources — and replicated an Indianapolis 500 pace car convertible. The Go-Karts were created by the Bird Corporation, known for manufacturing mini vehicles that are often styled after popular full-size cars.
The 1994 Ford Mustang Go-Kart's red fiberglass body is mounted on a black frame, and the kart is powered by a 5-horsepower Briggs & Stratton air-cooled, single-cylinder gasoline engine linked with a centrifugal clutch and chain drive. The miniature tribute car measures just over 7 feet in length and wears “Official Pace Car 78th Indianapolis 500 May 25th, 1994” graphics, along with Indianapolis 500 logos.
Features include a steering yoke with an engine cut-off switch on the steering column, a rear drum brake, and faux grille, windscreen with Mustang script, headlights, taillights, roll bar, and rear spoiler. The Go-Kart's steel wheels have simulated bias-ply tires and hubcaps (although they’re not installed on this one). The cockpit includes a single seat with black vinyl upholstery and twin foot pedals.
And good news for kids of all ages: the Go-Kart can accommodate drivers up to 6 feet tall.

Ownership History
The seller of this 1994 Ford Mustang Bird Corp. Go-Kart purchased it from the son of the owner of Whitman Ford in Temperence, Michigan, in 2020. “He had it in his basement since new,” the seller says. “He told me they ordered two of these, kept one in the showroom and stored in the other one in the basement. It had never run before I bought it, and it now has around an hour of run time total — only driven on the roads in my subdivision. The Go-Kart goes about 25 mph.”
