Description
The 1994 Volkswagen T4 Transporter Doka (short for Doppelkabine, meaning “double cab”) was part of VW’s fourth-generation Transporter lineup, introduced in 1990. The T4 marked a major departure from its predecessors by adopting a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout, replacing the rear-engine design of the T3. This change improved interior space, handling, and safety, making the T4 a more modern and versatile platform. The Doka variant was a unique configuration aimed at tradesmen and utility users. It featured a double cab with seating for up to six passengers and an open rear bed for cargo, blending the practicality of a pickup with the comfort of a van.
This 1994 Doka was imported from a small region in Germany where it was reportedly used by the local fire department as a service truck. Aside from some later Volkswagen wheels, this truck is said to remain in stock form featuring a 2.4L 5-cylinder diesel engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and evidence of service-related equipment removed at the time of export.
This 1994 VW Doka is now offered with some service records, a spare set of factory 15" steel wheels, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
From the seller, “This unique beauty caught my eye right away — it just happens to be the same red as my first car, a ‘74 VW Super Beetle. This truck is fun, reliable, mechanical and utilitarian in all the cool ways, spacious and no doubt causes a ripple of double-takes as you drive through town.”
