Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1982 AMC Spirit represented the final evolution of AMC’s compact hatchback lineage, blending practicality with a touch of sporty flair. Offered in a variety of trims and configurations, the Spirit was a versatile platform that carried forward AMC’s independent spirit into the early 1980s.
This particular example, a Spirit DL, is a rare survivor with just over 16,000 miles from new and benefits from “Spirit GT” badging and rear spoiler for added sporty aesthetics. Powered by AMC’s venerable 4.2-liter inline-six engine and paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, it delivers smooth, torquey performance ideal for both city cruising and highway touring.
Finished in Olympic White over a Nutmeg vinyl interior, this Spirit is a true time capsule, retaining its original window sticker and presenting in exceptional cosmetic condition throughout. With cold-blowing R134a-converted air conditioning, highly original presentation, and low mileage, it remains a standout example of the Spirit model.
