Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1967 to compete with the Ford Mustang, by 1980 the Chevrolet Camaro had evolved into a larger, more aggressive, and more aerodynamic-looking pony car.
Emissions regulations and rising fuel costs led to reduced horsepower compared to earlier muscle car years, but performance remained a key focus. The popular Z28 package was the top performance model, featuring distinctive decals, sport suspension, and a powerful V8 engine.
A previous owner of this 1980 Camaro transformed it from a standard model into the style of a Z28. The car underwent an overhaul in 2013-2014 under prior ownership that included an engine swap to a 350ci Vortec V8 engine with aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and carburetor, Scorpion roller rocker arms, and an RV camshaft. It has been repainted in Audi blue with silver/argent Z28 lower rocker panel accent stripes, Z28 wheels, and Z28 badging.
Additional modifications include a GM 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission, 4.10:1 rear axle ratio, Pypes Stainless Race Pro dual exhaust system, an AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauge package with tachometer, and refreshed interior.
This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Michigan title in the current owner's name.
