Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 was a pivotal model in Dodge’s mid-size lineup, blending performance with upscale styling. Built on Chrysler’s B-body platform, it featured unibody construction and a torsion bar front and leaf spring rear suspension, offering a balance of comfort and handling. The Coronet 500 was the top trim level, distinguished by bucket seats, a center console, and premium interior appointments.
The Coronet offered a range of engines, from the base 225 cu in slant-six to powerful V8s, with transmission options including a three-speed or four-speed manual or a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic.
The Coronet 500 was popular among enthusiasts for its blend of luxury and muscle, and it laid the groundwork for Dodge’s later performance models, including the legendary Charger. Its versatility made it a standout in the muscle car era.
This recently rebuilt 1965 Coronet 500 is finished in beautiful Ruby Red paint, wears a red interior, and is powered by a 383 cu-in V8 engine. And it’s even a convertible, of which there were only 3,168 original ones built that year.
