Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The second-generation 1965 Chevrolet Corvair is considered the most refined and capable version of Chevrolet’s innovative rear‑engined compact. When it debuted in late 1964, the redesigned Corvair wore European‑influenced styling featuring a longer, lower silhouette, a pillarless roofline for coupe and sedan versions, a new convertible design with available power top mechanism, and updated trim.

Slotting in between the base 500 and the performance-spec Corsa, the Corvair Monza Convertible’s sleek styling was enhanced with wheel well, side molding, sill, and rear cove brightwork along with new wheel covers. Vinyl bucket seats, a new steering wheel, and a redesigned instrument cluster made for a handsome, purposeful interior. Drivers could choose from three air-cooled six cylinder engines — making 95, 110, or 140 horsepower — available with 3- or 4-speed manual or 2-speed automatic transmissions. Combined with a fully independent suspension, a refined front suspension, and faster steering, the unique 1965 Corvair Monza was as capable as it was beautiful.

This drop-top example is powered by the 110-horsepower flat-six engine, mated to an optional four-speed manual transmission. It was previously refreshed with red paint, and wears matching red vinyl upholstery and a white convertible top.

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible is represented by a Broad Arrow Specialist and is offered with books, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner's name.
