Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1965 Chevrolet Corvair marked the debut of the car’s second generation and is widely regarded as the most refined and capable version of Chevrolet’s innovative rear‑engined compact. Introduced in September 1964, the redesigned Corvair featured sleek, European‑influenced styling with a fully independent suspension derived from the Corvette Sting Ray, giving it notably improved handling and ride quality. Its air‑cooled, horizontally opposed six‑cylinder engine remained a distinctive engineering choice among American cars of the era.

The 1965 lineup offered a range of body styles, including popular coupe and convertible models within the Monza and sporty Corsa series. Corsa models featured performance‑oriented options such as a 180-horsepower turbocharged flat-six engine, along with six-gauge sport instrumentation and Corsa trim. Later referred to as the “American Porsche”, the 1965 Corvair Corsa is appreciated for its engineering ambition and stylish design.

This '65 Corsa Convertible is powered by the optional 164-cubic-inch turbocharged, air-cooled flat-six, mated to an optional four-speed manual transmission. Refurbishing by a previous owner included Ermine White (C) paint and new two-tone blue and white vinyl upholstery. According to the factory data tag, this example was originally finished in Ermine White over Blue.

The manual transmission Corvair Corsa is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean Michigan title in the current owner’s name.
