Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Every once in a while, Buick broke from its luxury-car persona and created something truly exciting. And in 1962, that car was the Buick Wildcat. Offered first as a two-door sport coupe, then as a four-door hardtop and convertible in 1963, the Wildcat blended full-size comfort with unique styling and V8 performance.

The Wildcat featured a 123” wheelbase and a big, 215” body. It was sleek, with a unique grille and dual headlights, sculpted lines, lots of brightwork, and Wildcat badging. And inside, a sport-luxury interior with bench or bucket seats, a deluxe steering wheel, and even a tachometer. That tach kept tabs on the torquey 401ci “Nailhead” V8, which produced an impressive 325 horsepower, then sent it through Buick’s smooth Turbine Drive automatic (as seen here) or a 4-speed manual transmission. And that powertrain used “Advanced Thrust” engineering, which moved the engine forward for better handling.

Refinished in green with a cream interior, this 1963 Buick Wildcat 4-Door Hardtop was purchased by the seller in 2017/. It has reportedly been kept mostly stock aside from aftermarket wheels, a replacement exhaust system, and an upgraded stereo.

This Wildcat is now offered at no reserve with some spare trim pieces, a spare factory-style radio, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.
