Description
The 1955 Chevrolet 3100 series marked the final year of Chevrolet’s first major post-WWII truck design – the Advance Design series, which debuted in 1947. This series was known for its bold, rounded styling, larger cabs, and improved visibility compared to pre-war models.
The '55 model year was unique because it was split into two distinct series. The early 1955 trucks retained the Advance Design body style, while the mid-year introduction of the all-new "Task Force" series replaced it. As a result, the early 1955 Advance Design trucks are often referred to as "First Series" models.
This First Series 3105 half-ton panel truck reportedly received a body-off refurbishment in 1998 and was acquired by the seller in 2008. The body is refinished in green and features an articulating spotlight, running boards, and rear barn doors. Power is provided by a 235ci inline-six, which is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment, paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The pass-through cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in green vinyl, as well as a cabin heater and a wood-plank cargo floor with a Chevrolet bowtie logo inlay.
