Description
The 1930 Ford Model A helped put America on wheels during the early years of the Great Depression, offering more power, better brakes, more user-friendly operation, and improved comfort over the Model T it replaced. Produced in millions from 1928-1931, the Model A became one of the most influential cars of its era and before too long, one of the most popular foundations for hot rods due to low cost and ready availability.
As returning World War II veterans began building affordable performance cars in the 1940s and 1950s, the Model A's abundance and affordability helped make it a cornerstone of hot rod culture.
This hot rod features a 1930 Ford Model A-style steel body with a chopped roofline, staggered GM Rally wheels with white wall tires, custom pinstriping, bucket seats, and QA1 shocks.
Under the hood sits a 350ci V8 mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake manifold, as well as an electric cooling fan. Inside, the driver is greeted with Dolphin gauges in a custom instrumentation layout, and even more custom pinstripe work. Other interior features include a 3-spoke steering wheel on a tilt steering column.
This 1930 Ford Hot Rod is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Ohio title.
