Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1930 Ford Model A Pickup represents the culmination of Ford’s shift from the utilitarian Model T to a more modern, factory-built light truck. It inherited the robust 201 cubic-inch, 40-horsepower L-head inline‑four, mounted in a sturdy front engine/rear-wheel drive-layout chassis with mechanical brakes on all four wheels — a significant upgrade over the Model T’s two‑wheel setup.

By 1930, Ford had refined the truck’s design with wider and lower fenders, a taller hoodline, streamlined stainless‑steel radiator and headlamp shells, balloon tires, vacuum wipers, and a higher steering ratio enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Unlike earlier open-cab versions, the 1930 pickup featured a factory-built enclosed hardtop cab, setting the standard for modern pickups.

This 1930 Model A pickup was fully restored by a previous owner and included navy blue paint, yellow wire wheels, reupholstered gray vinyl seats and doors, an APCO temperature gauge, new wood planking and stake posts in the truck bed, and a rearview mirror with built-in clock.
