Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Built on Henry Ford’s rugged Model T chassis, the Huckster wasn’t a factory model but a purpose-built wooden delivery body, typically crafted by local coachbuilders to suit shopkeepers, farmers, and tradesmen. Each was configured uniquely to suit whatever purpose was originally needed.
With its simple four-cylinder engine and legendary durability, the Model T could make its way along rutted roads that challenged horses and wagons, and the Huckster transformed the car into a rolling storefront. Grocers, bakers, and produce sellers loaded crates of goods and drove them directly to customers, reshaping rural commerce.
This open-bodied 1913 Huckster is equipped with a 177ci inline-four engine, mated to a two-speed planetary manual transmission, as opposed to a sliding‑gear manual like most vehicles of the era. The Ford features a stained wooden body and truck bed with a black painted hood, fenders, and running boards, and the top is covered with black leatherette. Additional features include 30‑inch wooden artillery wheels and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
This 1913 Ford Model T Huckster is now offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner at no reserve with a clean Michigan title.
