Description

The Volkswagen Beetle has gained an arguably unequaled reputation as one of the best-selling and most instantly recognizable motor vehicles of all time. Officially called the Type 1, Volkswagen sold 21.5 million examples over a remarkable 65-year production run, it is beloved for its simple, robust construction, cheerful design, and ease of ownership. Today, they continue to attract a happy-go-lucky contingent of owners who enjoy memorable weekend cruises and grabbing attention at local car shows.

Highlights

  • Equipped with a larger 1,915 cc air-cooled flat-four-cylinder engine as part of the restoration

  • The consignor reports rebuilding the engine at approximately 1,000 indicated miles

  • Features a retractable black fabric parade-style sunroof

  • Awarded at Air Cooled Fiesta 9 and Run to the Hills Car Show in San Diego, California in 2022
