Sabrina is an entrepreneur, investor and experienced corporate board member. Amongst many successful business ventures, Sabrina founded the Art Institute of Hollywood, and sold the company to Education Management Corporation (“EDMC”), where she continued to serve as CEO of Special Projects until EDMC was purchased by a consortium of financial investors in 2006.
Sabrina is CEO of Fremont Private Investments and a strategic partner of VSS, a New York based middle-market private equity firm. She was a founder and CEO of the Art Institute of Hollywood and Fremont College as well as a Co-Founder and Vice-Chair of Premier Business Bank. She has served as Chairman of After School All Stars from 2004-2021 and continues her service for inner-city youth education as Chairman Emeritus.
Sabrina is an entrepreneur, investor, board member, and philanthropist. She started her first business, Art Institute of Hollywood, while studying computer science and mathematics in college and sold it to a public company (NASDAQ: EDMC), which was then sold to Goldman Sachs Private Equities. Since retiring in her 30s as a philanthropist, she has served on more than 30 corporate, civic, and charitable boards and received numerous awards.
She also continued her entrepreneurial endeavors while earning three graduate degrees: California state-chartered Premier Business Bank, which she sold to NASDAQ: FFWM in 2018, and award-winning graduate-level institution, Fremont College, as well as a Dale Carnegie franchise to launch a new MBA program for inner-city youth.
After selling her operating businesses in 2020, Sabrina continued to serve on various corporate boards: MannKind (NASDAQ: MKND), Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY), Yellowbrick, and Panda Express Restaurant Group. She is also a board member of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, International Medical Corp and the Petersen Automotive Museum. Sabrina earned an MBA from USC, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a joint doctoral degree from the Wharton School and GSE at the University of Pennsylvania.
