Senior Vice President of Brand and Marketing

Marc Burns is Senior Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Hagerty, having joined the business in the summer of 2025. In his role, he’s responsible for unifying the Hagerty brand and its member engagement strategies, enhancing brand reputation and driving growth through efficient, high-impact Marketing, Media, Events, Communication and Commercial Partnerships.

Prior to joining Hagerty, he served as Vice President of Marketing, Advertising & Social Media at AT&T, where he launched the world’s fastest home internet, the first ever wireless and fiber guarantee, and developed a world-first 5G-connected football helmet to help deaf players communicate. Under his leadership AT&T was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame.

Prior to AT&T, he was an EVP and Managing Director at BBDO, a global advertising agency. While there, he repositioned the business, developed talent, and grew the client base bringing in new business including Tourism Australia, Wells Fargo, Mattel and Global HP Personal Systems.

Of his approach to business, he says: “I put people at the center of everything, and build trusting relationships with my team, peers and stakeholders. The outputs of those relationships are famous ideas that drive preference, trigger action, and grow business.”

His family raises crocodiles in the heart of the Australian Outback, and he is a passionate car enthusiast with a soft spot for quirky, temperamental cars—especially those that don’t always return the affection.
