Equipment
Assembly 10518. A C. A U.S. spec car in condition that hardly justifies the term used car, but it is definitely an old car and the interior wear (particularly the drivers seat) is more than would be expected for the 1,192 miles on the odometer. Honestly cataloged as having been damaged in an accident although its appearance shows no evidence of the repairs to the rear of the body or the replacement of the rear frame section.
Market commentary
The insurance company probably spent more than $100,000 on repairing this F40, and when its done its still worth $100,000 less than an undamaged example. The trouble is, among other things, there are so many undamaged low mileage F40s around that the penalty for any bad story at all is huge. There were three being auctioned this week in the Phoenix area, for example; only this one sold. Cataloged as having 1,192 miles, the odometer still showed 1,192 miles at the auction.
