Equipment
4.0-liter, 5-speed, fog lights, running boards, modern touchscreen in the dash.
Condition
#4 Fair
Has visible flaws to the naked eye. Runs fine, but could use mechanical or cosmetic attention.
Nothing represented in terms of history and showing a staggering 729,165 km (453,082 miles) on the odometer. An old, quick respray is cracked in in places and surface rust is poking through chips in the bed. Uneven gaps. Oxidized underneath but the frame is all in good shape. The seats look newer but the rest of the interior looks original. Interesting only in that it’s a foreign market Land Cruiser that we Americans rarely get to see up close. Other than that, it’s a tired old truck.
Market commentary
Refusing a $25K offer for any truck with nearly half a million million miles on it is silly, whether it's a rare model or not. Seeing it sell for a tenth of that in its home market (likely somewhere in Latin America) would not be surprising, so the high bid in Houston should have been happily taken if there was money close to it.
