Equipment
2498/101hp, 4-speed with overdrive, factory hardtop, Lucas driving lights, red line tires, leather-wrapped steering wheel, period pushbutton radio.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Showing just 12,150 miles and recently serviced. Imperfect gaps. Faded TR6 badge on the grille. A few scuffs on the wheels. Solid, possibly original paint with some touch ups around panel edges. Excellent interior with the wood likely redone. Good, lightly wrinkled original top. Unrestored but very well kept and maintained engine. Clean original underbody with only mild age and oxidation, and a clear beneficiary of many years in Southern California. A true survivor final year TR6 in a great color.
Market commentary
The Gooding bidders valued the limited originality of this TR6 highly, overlooking the quality of the repaint and the grimy engine compartment. It would have been a better value at $20,000.
