The only explanation for the estimate and reported high bid on this 440 Six Pack Cuda convertible is the reported prices of Hemi Cuda convertibles, now reaching well into 7 figures. This is one of 17 440 Six Pack convertibles built but it just doesnt have the panache of Hemi under the hood. Its hard to see it being half the value of a Hemi Cuda ragtop, but someone was willing to value it at a quarter. In point of fact, these were dumb cars when new, which may explain why theyre so rare. Only the skinny, hard tires of the era kept the 440s (or Hemis) torque from twisting the topless chassis into a trapezoid every time the throttle was floored.
