Condition
The paint and brightwork are excellent. Engine compartment has been completely gone through. The driver's seat has a few light scuffs from general use. This car remained with its original owner until 2013 and has received a rotisserie restoration done to high standards and has barely been used since.
Market commentary
The Boss 302 was more suited to the road course than the drag strip, something that the Indianapolis bidders seemed to place not as much value on. This very strong example could have done another 25 grand without being expensive, so saving it for another venue was a wise choice.
