Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Polished Borranis (outside laced fronts), Dunlop racing tires, nicely padded rollbar. Originally raced by NART, still holds BP record (for front engined cars) at Lime Rock, Bridgehampton and Thompson. Continuous history since new. Extensively raced recently in Shell Historics and looks like it, with typical race car repairs and lots of cracks but all there and track ready. Includes spare engine.

Market commentary

A rare and quick car with great performance that after a thorough precautionary checkout can be taken directly to the track for a thrill ride. Christies sold 9007, in better but too good to race condition, for $1,212,500 at Pebble Beach last summer. There only 12 of these 2nd series 275 GTB Cs, an underappreciated model and the last of Ferraris true GT racers. The new owner got a great car.
