Equipment
Braced roll bar, OMP racing seats, 5 point belts, outside laced chrome spoke Borrani wire wheels. Re nosed by Pinin Farina in 1958 in the present somewhat Testa Rossa ish shape with covered headlights and a bulky, square hood scoop and outside fuel filler added in the 90s. The appearance is unbalanced and the tucked under grille looks like a dog sniffing for truffles. Cracks in nose by hood opening, quick old paint, pitted trim chrome. Pretty rough and very used condition.
Market commentary
The price paid here adequately takes into account the cars condition, history and odd appearance, but its a real 375 America and eligible for just about everything if the organizers can get past its dog like appearance which makes it an astute acquisition for a tour and event oriented owner. Offered by B J in 1993 in pretty wretched condition where it was a no sale at $255,000. It is in much better condition now, but still pretty ugly.
