Equipment
Dual Mikuni carbs, hub caps and trim rings, Silvertown whitewalls, red vinyl boot cover, VDO dash clock.
Condition
517 miles on rotisserie restoration. Tidy, lightly run engine bay. Excellent paint and chrome other than a tiny crack at the back of the passenger's side door. Uneven trunk gaps with a small chip at the bottom left edge of the trunk lid. Very good fresh interior. Original windshield frame is quite pitted. A mostly very good restoration with a handful of forgivable flaws.
Market commentary
Hammered not sold at Mecum Monterey last year at a high bid of $95,000. This car probably deserved more on both occasions, but the seller was prudent to let it go this time around, having accepted that he was late to the 190SL party and that even very good examples aren't achieving the same huge results as they were a year ago.
