Hear the 2021 Ford Bronco’s turbocharged powerplant

After stumbling through reveal dates because of an ironic but accidental tie-in with O.J. Simpson, Ford has moved the reveal date of the 2021 Bronco to July 13 and entered a holding pattern. In lieu of the covers being pulled off the new off-road contender against the likes of the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota 4Runner, Ford has dropped a quick teaser of its EcoBoost howling into the horizon.

Given that the Bronco R desert racers used a familiar looking V-6, rumors about the Bronco carrying the 2.7-liter EcoBoost sound truer than ever after today’s clip. Take a listen and tell us what you think—or better yet, should the Bronco return to its V-8 heritage?
