Toyota Battles BMW: Setting the Stage

The 2023 BMW M4 Competition, with its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, has got some serious competition coming for it this week, on Cammisa’s Ultimate Drag Race Rewind—and that competition is Toyota.

The long-awaited 2022 Toyota GR Supra meets us on the track, to compete with three BMW B58 engine counterparts—the BMW M240i xDrive, 340i, and M4 xDrive Competition. If you thought Toyota would roll up to the starting line as a team of one, think again—the 2023 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance, joins us as Toyota Motor Corporation’s V8 challenger, to squash the straight-six army. Last but not least for team Toyota, we have… a modified 1400-hp Mk IV Supra from 1993.

Toyota Battles BMW: Questions to Answer
