Caring for your car’s carpet via routine maintenance only requires a couple of household “tools” and a good stain cleaner. We recommend Meguiar’s Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Start by dry brushing the carpet with a firm bristle brush, which helps loosen dirt and gets the fibers to stand upright. Follow by vacuuming to remove any debris. Then spot treat stains by spraying directly on the stain about 4-6 inches away. Squeeze the trigger slowly and hold once a steady stream flows. Let it sit and penetrate for about 15-30 seconds. Afterwards, lightly agitate with a brush or a thick terry towel. Blot the area dry with a separate clean dry cotton towel until clean. Repeat this as needed, then allow the area to dry before using or covering with a mat. Finally, admire your results and take your car for a well-deserved drive.
