I was 10 years old in 1953 old when the first Corvette was produced. Finally got my first one in 2008. Now own 2 plus a 1977 Camaro. Have owned a 1965 Malibu convertible, a 1966 SS396 Chevelle and a 1969 SS396 Chevelle.

Story
I was born in 1943, have been a car guy forever and I have owned a lot of cars over the years, many of which were winter beaters. I built my first car in the basement using an old lawn mower chassis when I was 13 years old. I never looked back. I have owned all GM vehicles, with the exception of a 1955 Austin Healey with a Corvette motor and a 1954 2dr Ford Ranch Wagon. I worked for GM my first year out of college in 1965 but followed a different path after that, working as a packaging engineer for The Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company in Portage, MI. I routinely attend car shows, the National Corvette Museum, Corvette cruises, NHRA Drag races, local stock car races and I worked at the Michigan International Speedway, as a volunteer fire fighter, during the speedways inaugural race year in 1968 as well as the following two years.
