1956 Packard Patrician

This is the last year for the senior Packard with only 3775 built. With a 374 cu. in. engine it can cruise in todays traffic. This car Has all the options including factory AC and sold for around a astounding $4,600. I had some $14,000 spent on it to make it a dependable road car. Paint and exterior
The paint is in remarkably good condition with no fading, bubbles, or major chips. It shines really nice without it looking like plastic. The chrome and stainless is very good with some minor pitting on some of the casting.
Upholstery and interior
The seats are made of an expensive fabric that has held up very well with no splits or stains. The bottom of the seat skirt carpeting has moth damage in places. The headliner is good but has some staining. The door panels are good.
Engine
Original Engine: Yes
The engine has all the original components. It has a new oil pump and has Excellent oil pressures. Starts up quick and runs extremely smooth. with no heating issues The AC is all there but does not cool. The engine compartment is clean and original.
Mileage
The milage corresponds to receipts and the car driven just occasionally.
Wheels and tires
The tires are like new with full thread by B F Goodrich with no creaks or blemishes were put on some years ago and with heavy driving I would replace them and sell them at a swap meet. The wire wheel hubs are excellent. and the brakes work good.

The TWIN ULTRAMATIC Packard transmission is a novel push button type that PROFORMS WELL WITH NO ISSUES.
