Grab the best (and only) 2000 Mercedes-Benz pickup money can buy

A DaimlerChrysler-era W210 may not be the most desirable Mercedes-Benz out there, but this low-mileage E320-based pickup is no ordinary find.

Ordered new by a visionary Mercedes-Benz dealer in the Atlanta-area, this G650-shamer is based on an E-Class wagon chassis, which was stretched by 29-inches. With its rear window and hinged tailgate repositioned and rear bodywork cut accordingly, this vehicle provides the premium four-seater sedan experience at the front, with a practical diamond-plated cargo box behind. Powered by a 3.2-liter V-6 connected to a five-speed automatic, this one-off E320 also retains all of its factory functions, including climate control, the COMAND infotainment system, Parktronic, bluetooth and acres of MB-Tex upholstery, in tan.

Despite showing just 21,000 miles on the clock, it must be said that the cooling compartment located in the central console between the custom rear buckets does not work. However, the seats do come with a pre-programmed loading function, which will fold them flat when you need the extra cargo space. And with this one, you just might.

AMG wheels and bed rails lined with LEDs complete the looks, and if you like the idea, Scottsdale 2020’s Lot #650 is ready for your offer at Barrett-Jackson’s January 11-19 auction. With such long wheelbase come high stakes, but frankly, you deserve the best, or nothing.
