Hagerty expert commentary
Our staff has reviewed this vehicle. Here are our notes.
Equipment
4,522/300hp, 4-speed, chrome spoke Borrani wire wheels, Pirelli Cinturato HS tires, Clayton heater, factory hardtop.
Condition
The only Vignale bodied 375 America cabriolet, long term U.S. ownership. Restored for Wayne Golomb in 1980, repainted and reupholstered in the late 90’s. Very good paint and chrome. Good upholstery but the driver’s seat back is stretched and the cushion seams are pulling. The underbody and chassis are restored like new. A distinctive and arresting Vignale cab with subtle details and some 50’s embellishment.
Market
This is another example of an historic and rare car that came to light in Monterey, and particularly at RM Sotheby’s, this year. Despite the many singular examples striving for attention none were overlooked. This is big money for a road-going Ferrari, but also a singular open cabriolet with Lampredi power to thrill its next owner.
Hagerty Condition Rating#2 ExcellentCould win a regional car show. Drives like new.
