Custom motorcycles are a matter of personal taste. From mild to wild, they’re a chance for builders to express themselves through tank art, intricate leather work, exquisitely bent pipes, heavily raked forks, crazy paint, all of the above, and far beyond.
For that reason, the One Moto Show (a.k.a. 1Moto), held in an abandoned pickle factory in Portland, Oregon, has a permanent place on my calendar each February. For three days, builders, riders, racers, and lovers of all things two wheeled converge to share their love and passion for the creativity that goes into turning a motorcycle into a piece of rolling art.
With my camera in tow, last weekend I attended the ninth annual show, where I managed to snag a few shots of the bikes, bike accessories, and bike people that best exemplified what the show represents.
