Trivial Details: Can you guess these 12 cars?
“Bro, I told you it was Celine Dion who sang the theme from Titanic,” you groan to your teammate Brett, who erroneously thought Mariah Carey sang “My Heart Will Go On.”
Maybe night bar trivia has become somewhat of a ritual for you and your friends, but your team always comes up a few points short of first place. Tonight looks like it will be no different, because, with one round to go, you are 11 points behind your smug-faced rivals. Then again, the trivia host is unpredictable when it comes to the final topic; it could be anyone’s game.
“Allllllright teams!” the host barks into the mic. “Our final round is a picture round. The rules are simple: I will show you 12 close up shots of classic American cars and you will have to give me the year, make, and model of each mystery machine! The picture captions will be your only clues, so read closely. Teams will get one point for each secret part answered correctly. If we catch you using your phones, you will be disqualified.”
The team looks at you expectantly. You, the only car nerd at the sticky, chipped table. And didn’t you just recently visit Chicago for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals? The other dorks on “The Quizzard of Oz” team don’t know a spark plug from a transmission spline. It’s up to you.
The round timer is ticking. In the comments, can you identify these cars by year, make, and model, thus propelling your team to victory (and a $50 dollar bar tab)?

Well to be honest I was close or in for most of the years and got the make of each with out looking. I feel good on that.
The Corvette was easy as I own the Diecast of it and it was in3 of my favorites. I bookend it with my Greenwood Vette. They were friends and rivals.
‘Track Seven on Zep II’ is only relevant for the CD. Mine is vinyl. It’s Track 3 on Side 2. I heard it many times after recording it with my 8-track recorder for the deck in my ’68 Mustang. Oh well, it’s time I was on my way.

# 3 is a 1970 Challenger TA. Cuda’s did not have a body line on the sides, they were rounded.
#3 is definitely a 1970 AAR Cuda. Cuda’s do have a straight body line running down the entire side of the car. The side marker light gives it away as being a Cuda, in addition to the strobe stripe and the top of the fenders being black.
#3 is NOT a Challenger, it is most definitely a AAR Cuda, first off the front side marker light (amber) is a Cuda, and is narrower and has no chrome as in the Challenger side marker, second the “hint in the description” “Strobe Warning” hinting to what Plymouth called the AAR striping, “Strobe Strip” and this example is Sassy Grass FJ-6 Green. Finally…YES the Cuda has a body line albeit very subtle especially when compared to the Challenger body line. Just look at any pic of a 70 Cuda fender and you will plainly see the body line in the fender.
Lots of good identifications, maybe not all of them 100% but still fun to read. Have fun, people.

What is surprising is how many are missing #1 the Saleen. It is not just a Mustang it is a numbered Saleen car. The clue and number give it away.
The Rebel Corvette I thought was the hardest one to get and most have missed it.
