Worth NADA?

Do you know if your classic is appreciating in value? Ninety-seven percent of survey respondents think so! To determine value, owners look most often to a professional appraiser (32 percent). Of those, 86 percent rated the value delivered by the appraiser as very good, and the majority (78 percent) paid no more than $150 for the service.

Collectors also often use the sale prices of similar vehicles (29 percent), and price guides such as Old Cars Price Guide, NADA Price Guide, Kelley Blue Book and Sports Car Market (22% combined) to figure value. Twelve percent rely on the opinions of fellow collectors.
