eBay Find of the Week: Is this 1950 Riviera aging nicely or in need of restoration?

1950 Buick Super Two Door Hardtop

Ten years ago, this 1950 Buick Super Riviera hardtop likely would have been purchased with the sole intention of restoration, whether to original specs or for modern levels of performance. Today, however, there is more of an appreciation for preservation.

We can’t help but think that this nice original faded bodywork looks right as is. Perhaps some new seat fabric to replace the mismatched bench seats wouldn’t hurt, but it would seem a shame to erase the history of this car with a full shiny restoration. Bonus: it has only 72,736 original miles.

What do you think? Is this coupe with mild patina worthy of preservation or is it just a restoration project waiting to happen?
